Certified Medical Assistant Pediatrics

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team in Woodstock, GA. In this dual clinical and administrative role, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional patient care, streamline daily clinical operations, and ensure a seamless experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Certification: Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA through AAMA, CCMA through NHA, or RMA through AMT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Patient Intake: Escort patients to exam rooms, record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight), and accurately document medical history, chief complaints, and current medications in the EHR.
• Provider Support: Prepare patients for examinations, assist physicians during routine exams and minor outpatient procedures, and hand instruments as needed.
• Diagnostic Testing & Specimen Collection: Perform routine diagnostic tests (EKG, capillary blood glucose, urinalysis) and collect/process laboratory specimens following standard safety guidelines.
• Phlebotomy & Injections: Administer routine vaccinations, intramuscular/subcutaneous injections, and perform venipunctures under physician supervision.
• Room & Equipment Preparation: Sterilize medical instruments, clean and sanitize exam rooms between visits, and maintain clinical inventory by stocking supplies.
• General Administration: Handle daily administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient recalls, processing copayments, and scanning/filing medical documentation.
