Security Clearance Requirements Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Security Clearance Type: DoD Clearance: Secret. Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. Responsibilities Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry. This circuitry will dominantly involve 3-phase inverter design, sensor interfacing, and controller circuits. Main emphasis is on board‑mounted power end‑use applications. Hands‑on drafting & designing at a circuit card level. Help see circuit card development through its design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing. Drive to meet schedule concerns. Define schedules for circuit level tasking. Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate support from senior engineers. Assist in layer stackup definition. Required Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 years of prior relevant experience. Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with one or more of the following motor types is a plus: Brushed, BLDC or PMSM. Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or other similar tools. Experience with analog electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op‑amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits. Experience working in a lab setting and using lab tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, frequency generators, power supplies and Data Acquisition Systems. Preferred Qualifications An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering. A self‑starter, a quick learner, able to function in a dynamic environment, and have good time management skills. Appreciation for how successful teams are structured. Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level. Experience in any one of the following: Familiarity with wide bandgap devices (SiC, GaN) in power electronics designs; Simulators such as SIMPLIS or SABER, or Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, and/or Hyperlynx; Military specifications; Design considerations for voltages > 400V and/or power > 10kW; Three‑phase power systems, power factor control, and inverter/rectifier development; Program management tools such as Earned Value.
