Ares Secondaries Team Associate Vice President – Manager, Portfolio AnalyticsThe Ares Secondaries team specializes in secondary market transactions of private equity, real estate, credit, and infrastructure investments with AUM of approximately $42 billion as of December 31, 2025. The team is currently looking to hire an Associate Vice President – Manager, Portfolio Analytics in our NY location to join our dynamic Finance team of approximately 60 professionals located across our West Hartford, CT, Boston, MA and New York, NY locations.The AVP will engage with key team members, including PE Secondaries Deal Team, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Legal, Compliance, Accounting, and Investor Relations. The ideal candidate will possess investment analysis, accounting, or private equity / fund of funds experience with an understanding of fund reporting, basic partnership accounting, and performance metrics. This role will require a dynamic, adaptive, and agile hands-on professional who enjoys a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.Primary Functions and Essential ResponsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Supervise and develop analysts and associates, while providing ongoing training and feedbackWork with investment professionals to assist in deal closings and allocations across funds, as well as support ongoing portfolio constructionPerform detailed review of quarterly investment report valuations, including diversification metrics as well as valuation gains and lossesPrepare or review documentation for quarterly investor reports, as well as performance returns at a portfolio and fund level (TWR, IRR, Multiples, etc.)Coordinate investment amendments/consents with investment professionalsParticipate on investment update calls and prepare/review memo summaryReview data utilized by Investor Relations as part of investor presentations and fundraising effortsQualificationsEducation:Minimum of a B.S. degree in Finance, Economics, or AccountingMBA, CFA, or CPA is a plusExperience Required:7+ years of related financial experience is required, which may include public accounting2+ years of experience working at a Private Fund or Secondaries firm strongly desiredGeneral Requirements:Solid management team skills including staff developmentStrong relationship building skills with internal business clientsAdvanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, eFront Software is a plusDependable, great attitude, highly motivated and a team playerHigh accuracy and detail orientedCompensationThe anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.$140,000 - $180,000The firm also offers robust Benefits offerings.
