Position Title: Director of Evangelization Status: Full-time, Exempt, 12 months Reports to: Pastor Introduction The St. Rose Family of Parishes is seeking a faithful, motivated, and mission-driven Director of Evangelization to lead and develop the Family's efforts in evangelization, faith formation, and missionary discipleship. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for Jesus Christ and His Church, a strong understanding of Catholic teaching, and a passion for evangelization. The Director of Evangelization will work closely with the Director of Worship to ensure that evangelization, faith formation, sacramental preparation, and the liturgical life of the St. Rose Family of Parishes are coordinated and support the mission of forming disciples. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Evangelization and Faith Formation Develop and implement evangelization and faith formation programs for adults, youth, young adults, and families. Develops a uni ed approach to religious education and faith formation throughout the Family of Parishes. Oversee adult faith formation and support volunteer leaders. Foster young adult evangelization and missionary discipleship. Develop opportunities for parish growth, outreach, and renewal. Sacramental Preparation and Christian Initiation Oversee sacramental preparation for children and adults. Lead, oversee, and coordinate OCIA and OCIC, including outreach, catechesis, and meetings. Meet with individuals interested in becoming Catholic and accompany them through the initiation process. Work with the Pastor and Director of Worship in preparing for and celebrating OCIA and OCIC Rites, including the Easter Vigil. Leadership and Administration Work collaboratively with the Pastor, Director of Worship, clergy, staff, and volunteers. Recruit, train, and support volunteers involved in evangelization and faith formation. Research and provide appropriate catechetical and evangelization materials. Oversee program registration, records, budgets, and expenses. Participate in relevant Archdiocesan meetings and serve as a liaison for Archdiocesan and other evangelization events. Perform additional duties as determined by the Pastor. Qualifications and Expectations Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with a deep love for Jesus Christ and His Church. Strong understanding of Catholic teaching, Sacred Scripture, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Passion for evangelization and bringing others to Christ and His Church. Experience in teaching and presenting to people in a variety of settings Strong communication, leadership, organization, and volunteer management skills. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in theology or a related field preferred. Five or more years of experience in religious education, evangelization, catechesis, or parish ministry preferred; OCIA/RCIA experience preferred. Must complete required Archdiocese of Cincinnati Safe Environment requirements and participate in ongoing formation and professional development. Working Environment This position serves all five churches of the St. Rose Family of Parishes and requires travel between parish locations. Frequent evening, weekend, and occasional off-site work is required. Employees of the St. Rose Family of Parishes are expected to respect and support the Catholic faith, adhere to parish policies, and conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church. Employees will not publicly oppose the teachings of the Catholic faith or publicly advocate for positions contrary to Catholic teaching or the specific positions of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati or the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. This expectation applies to public speech, demonstrations, writing, social media, and other digital communications.
