Physical Therapist - School Setting in Arlington Heights, IL

Job Description

Make an impact in the lives of students as a dedicated Physical Therapist, supporting learners from kindergarten through age 22 in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position offers the flexibility to choose between part-time (4 days per week) or full-time (5 days per week) schedules, making it ideal for those seeking a healthy work-life balance. Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, across two school sites and specialized program locations.

What You’ll Bring:

Valid Physical Therapist license required
Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Capacity to support, motivate, and inspire students of varying abilities
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students from kindergarten to age 22
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to ensure appropriate services and accommodations
Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and contribute to team evaluations
Adapt therapeutic techniques for a variety of developmental and physical challenges
Provide consultative support to staff regarding positioning, mobility, and wellness strategies
