Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging, standards-based high school courses
- Prepare scholars for college and career readiness
- Use data to improve instruction and outcomes
- Build strong relationships with adolescents
- Maintain high expectations for behavior and achievement
- Collaborate with instructional leadership and teams
- Support testing, assessments, and academic interventions
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid North Carolina Teaching License (or eligibility for licensure)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience (preferred/required, based on your hiring standard)
- Experience in high school grades preferred
- Strong classroom management and instructional delivery skills
- Demonstrated commitment to student achievement, equity, and culturally responsive teaching practices
- Ability to analyze data and use it to drive instructional decisions
- Strong collaboration, communication, and team engagement skills
- Strong instructional support and coaching
- Collaborative team culture
- Focus on scholar success and leadership development
