Description

The Manager of Materials & Planning is responsible for overseeing materials planning, purchasing, inventory control, production scheduling, and supplier coordination to ensure manufacturing operations run efficiently. This role supports on-time production and customer delivery by managing material availability, ERP/MRP accuracy, outsourced manufacturing partners, and cross-functional communication between Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

kills such as Lean Manufacturing, outsourced manufacturing coordination, and ECO/EO experience will help improve workflow, reduce delays, manage vendor performance, and support accurate production planning. Preferred experience includes 5–7+ years in materials planning, supply chain, purchasing, inventory, or manufacturing operations, ideally in electronics or component-based manufacturing. Leadership experience managing buyers, planners, materials, or stockroom teams is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field is preferred, with APICS/CPIM/CSCP certification a plus. Key attributes of success include strong communication, urgency, organization, problem-solving, attention to detail, ERP/MRP accuracy, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and suppliers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chatsworth, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $72.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
