About This Role

The Child & Family Service Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the early childhood education center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality developmentally appropriate programming, meaningful family engagement, and a safe, secure environment, promoting school readiness and family well-being in alignment with MVCDC’s mission.

What You'll Do

Child Safety & Supervision

• Ensure the safety of children, families, and staff, and actively supervise children throughout the day
• Maintain appropriate adult-to-child ratios at all times
• Report and follow up on facility needs (e.g., water leaks, snow removal, lawn care, playground safety)
• Ensure clear communication with the facility team, MVCDC leadership, and supervisor

Enrollment & Assessment

• Coordinate and complete the enrollment process to ensure timely child enrollment and attendance
• Conduct ongoing assessment and data collection for all assigned/enrolled children
• Ensure completion of child screenings and assessments, and provide appropriate follow-up (e.g., COR, speech/vision/hearing/developmental/behavioral)
• Use child, family, classroom, and program data to support growth and development

Leadership & Staff Supervision

• Supervise all assigned staff, including Teachers, Family Support Specialists, Nutrition Aides, and Clerks
• Conduct performance reviews and support the professional development of team members
• Support the hiring process in collaboration with the HR team
• Demonstrate strong leadership to ensure high-quality services through strategic planning and communication

Curriculum & Program Fidelity

• Support curriculum fidelity through ongoing professional development, coaching, and classroom observations
• Collaborate with ECE, Family Engagement, and Behavior Coaching teams to ensure consistent program quality

Family Engagement & Support

• Collaborate with the team to organize and conduct Multi-disciplinary Team and IEP/IFSP meetings
• Plan, organize, and attend family and 2-Gen events
• Maintain strong partnerships with families to support children's growth and development

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with MVCDC policies, licensing, and SUTQ requirements
• Prepare for visits and submit all required documentation (e.g., in-kind records, health & safety checklists, fire/tornado drills, NAEYC documentation as applicable)

Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Services or a related field.
• 3+ years leadership and/or supervisory experience, preferably within early childhood education or social services
• Valid Driver’s License and/or access to transportation to other centers as needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge of child and family curriculum, Conscious Discipline principles, and Head Start practices
