General Job Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP]). Experience Most locum NP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty.
