Overview Tire Kingdom & Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Miami Gardens, FL area. Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles as a leader in undercar repairs. Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks. Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount/mount, rotate and balance tires. Qualifications Required: (1) at least 18 years old; (2) legally authorized to work in the United States; (3) 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent education/training; (4) an extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs. Preferred: (1) state inspection license(s); (2) ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Physical requirements: active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive movements; regularly lifting and/or moving items weighing over 50 pounds.
