Medical Director/Senior Medical Director, Patient Safety & Risk Management

Relay Therapeutics seeks a Medical Director for Patient Safety & Risk Management to serve as Global Medical Safety Lead. The role directs safety surveillance, signal detection, risk management, and benefit-risk assessment across the product lifecycle while leading cross-functional teams and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct planning, preparation, and review of safety aggregate reports including DSUR
• Lead cross-functional Safety Management Team meetings and escalate safety issues to executive decision-makers
• Conduct benefit-risk assessments on safety signals and lead product benefit-risk discussions
• Train and support PSRM staff on medical review and safety surveillance activities
• Provide medical safety expertise across clinical development teams

Requirements

• Physician with expertise in pharmacovigilance and medical safety
• Experience with safety aggregate reports and DSUR preparation
• Knowledge of benefit-risk assessment and signal detection methodologies
• Cross-functional collaboration experience in clinical development settings
• Regulatory compliance and risk minimization strategy development skills
• Leadership experience managing safety surveillance activities
