The mission of the Administrator Certification Bureau (ACB) is to develop and proctor mandated exams for prospective Community Care Licensing (CCL) facility administrators, process and approve initial and renewal administrator certificate applications, and approve and monitor all training programs for administrators of licensed Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE), Adult Residential Facilities (ARF), Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) and Group Homes (GH). The ACB is tasked with ensuring that administrators complete approved training programs that provide them with the skills and knowledge needed for them to effectively perform their administrative duties and support the health, safety and well‑being of California’s most vulnerable residents in care. Then the Administrator Certification Bureau (ACB) within the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) may be the perfect fit for you. CCLD Policy, Training and Quality Improvement Branch is currently accepting applications for a Supervisor II to oversee ACB. The Bureau implements the administrator certification program for Children’s Residential and Adult and Senior Care administrators, and ensures overall compliance of Department approved, third‑party training vendors by conducting compliance reviews and providing technical support in order to promote the health, safety and well‑being of individuals in care. The Bureau works closely with other CCLD programs and community partners to ensure certification and training programs are responsive to changes in the industry and serve the CCLD mission. Under the direction of the Assistant Branch Chief, the Supervisor II oversees the administration of work process and program functions related to implementation and ongoing maintenance of data systems, compliance oversight of third‑party training vendors, and all functions related to certifying administrators for Children’s Residential and Adult and Senior Care Residential Facilities. Essential Qualifications Strong leadership and management team experience, demonstrating an ability to create a clear vision, set goals and expectations, encourage initiative and accountability at all levels. Demonstrated experience coaching employees and creating a work environment that stimulates learning, encourages growth, and recognizes individual achievements to ensure peak performance and quality customer service. Demonstrated experience using continuous improvement processes to ensure business processes meet organizational needs. Demonstrated experience managing complex projects. Demonstrated experience building productive collaborative relationships with a variety of internal and external partners including advocacy and industry organizations, other state departments, internal leadership etc. This position is located at 744 P Street in downtown Sacramento and does require the employee to report to the office 4 days per week and should Telework cease to exist the employee would have to report to the office full-time.
