What You'll Need:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program

• AART Certification in Radiation Therapy

• Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required

• 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist

Minimum Requirements

• ARRT(T) certification required. This is a client requirement.

• Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist – Therapy License required. This is a client requirement.

• BLS certification required. This is a client requirement.

• Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience in an adult acute care, oncology, or hospital setting preferred.

• Experience operating Ethos or Varian linear accelerator systems preferred by the client.

• Skills in CBCT/kV/mV imaging, IMRT, external beam therapy, tumor localization, and radiation dose calculation preferred.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, adaptability, dependability, and punctuality required.

• Experience with custom molds, custom shields, portal cast, wedge placement, and lift/transfer devices preferred.

• Facility type: Hospital
• Shift name: Days
• Shift details: Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:30). Schedule M-F 7:30 am – 4:30 pm; 8-hour shift dependent upon department needs.
• Floating: Yes. Candidate must be willing to float to other Radiation Oncology locations as needed.

The Finger Lakes region lies within a one-hour drive, offering wineries, boating on Seneca and Canandaigua Lakes, and hiking along state parks for a suburban-to-outdoor lifestyle. Public transit options include Regional Transit Service buses serving downtown and surrounding suburbs, supporting an urban or suburban commute.

Additional Duties:

• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with departmental policies.

• Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment.

• Verify treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team.

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy.

• Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records.
