Federal Employment Attorney | Of Counsel Homefront Group | Remote | Flexible Engagement Homefront Group is seeking an experienced plaintiff-side federal employment attorney to help launch and lead a new Federal Employment Law practice. We are an established, technology-enabled law firm with proven client acquisition capabilities, dedicated intake resources, and a commitment to building a modern, AI-powered legal practice. We're already receiving inquiries from federal employees seeking legal representation and are looking for the right attorney to help us turn that demand into a successful practice. The Opportunity We're seeking an attorney to begin in a flexible, ongoing Of Counsel relationship, with the potential to transition into a full-time Practice Lead position as the practice grows. Homefront Group provides the marketing, client acquisition, intake, technology, and operational infrastructure. You bring the legal expertise and help shape the practice from the ground up. As the practice scales, you'll have the opportunity to build the legal team, establish workflows, and lead its long-term growth. What You'll Do -Represent federal employees in discrimination, retaliation, wrongful removal, disability accommodation, and other federal employment disputes. -Handle federal-sector EEO complaints, EEOC administrative hearings and appeals, MSPB proceedings, mediation/ADR, and negotiated settlements. -Litigate claims under Title VII, the Rehabilitation Act, ADEA, and other applicable federal employment laws. -Evaluate prospective cases, develop legal strategies, and manage matters from initial consultation through resolution. -Help establish case acceptance criteria, fee structures, and efficient practice workflows. -Collaborate with our intake, marketing, and technology teams to build a scalable, client-focused practice. -Help recruit and supervise additional legal staff as the practice grows. What We're Looking For *5+ years of substantive plaintiff-side federal employment law experience , including direct representation of federal employees. *Demonstrated experience with federal-sector EEO complaints, EEOC proceedings, MSPB appeals, and settlement negotiations. *Strong knowledge of Title VII, federal-sector EEO procedures, administrative deadlines, and applicable employment laws. *Experience independently managing federal employment matters, including discovery, hearings, mediation, and ADR. *Active bar membership in good standing. *Strong client communication, case evaluation, and negotiation skills. *An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in launching and leading a new practice. *Experience with OSC whistleblower matters, mixed cases, federal-sector disability accommodation claims, or federal district court litigation is a plus.
