- Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans
- Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses, either in collaboration with physicians or independently depending on credentialing
- Providing valuable education to patients and families on health maintenance, wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapeutics within the legal scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care strategies
- Working in partnership with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and comprehensive care
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical judgment complemented by a gentle and empathetic approach
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Agility and adaptability in fast-paced, patient-focused settings
- Proficient in EMR platforms and skilled in utilizing telehealth technologies
