Impressions Childcare is hiring a Childcare Lead Teacher in Clarkson, WA Summary We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our team! The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. This role includes planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, supervising children, leading assistant classroom staff, and communicating effectively with families. Duties Plan and implement daily lessons and activities that support child development. Create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment. Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care. Lead and support assistant teachers and other classroom staff. Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and learning materials. Observe and document children’s growth, development, and milestones. Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s progress and daily activities. Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and center policies. Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior using positive guidance techniques. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and other staff. Ability to pass required background checks. Willingness and ability to obtain required trainings. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, sit on the floor, stand, and actively engage with children throughout the day. Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
