Position: Medical Assistant Lead Trainer - 31st (Internal Only) Location: Puyallup, WA Job Id: 1203 # of Openings: 1 Medical Assistant Lead Trainer Department: Clinical FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Reports to: Clinic Manager Position Summary The Medical Assistant Trainer will assist in the training of new or existing medical assistants by providing direction and guidance, assist in monitoring performance, and serve as a resource. The individual in this role will both perform training functions and general Medical Assistant tasks such as assisting our providers with back‑office duties in a friendly manner. This position will work closely with the Clinical Educator and Clinic Manager to ensure that new employee onboarding and continued training of existing staff are provided in a prompt, efficient and friendly manner while upholding the success of the company. In addition to Medical Assistant job functions, this role also: Provide direction and guidance, training, and evaluation of new/probationary employees to the team, under the guidance and authority of their manager. Complete documentation of candidate progress and competencies in a timely manner. Provide clear and consistent feedback to employees and leadership regarding individual’s progress. Serve as a resource to support the growth and development of all clinical staff. Provide support to lead MA and in their absence assist with lead MA responsibilities. Assist clinical educator in deployment of training initiatives. Routinely attend Clinical education training meetings. Facilitate and collaborate with clinic manager, HR, and clinical educator for remedial training of new or existing peers. Maintain confidentiality always of peer or probationary employee’s progress in training program. Additional duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. This position is primarily a sedentary role working in an office environment with a moderate noise level. This role will interact with patients, coworkers, vendors, and the public. This role will use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Must be able to communicate fluently in English when writing and speaking.
