Engineering Supervisor
We are currently seeking an experienced Engineer to act as a technical resource and provide work direction to an engineering staff focused on distribution system engineering, system planning, and/or substation engineering functions to ensure a safe, reliable, and economical distribution system.
Key Responsibilities & Results
- Provide supervision and leadership to a team of engineers
- Manage annual line construction capital budget
- Perform and/or coordinate distribution engineering studies
- Engineer and coordinate substation modification and expansion projects
- Specific functional duties will depend on successful candidate's experience
Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 5+ years' progressive experience in various aspects of electric distribution utility engineering
- Knowledge of the operation of electrical distribution system
- Working knowledge of National Electric Safety Code
- Project management skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to lead people and to inspire a team
- Able to clearly communicate information and ideas both verbally and written
- Strong customer service skills, both for internal and external customers
- Ability to learn and utilize enterprise software applications such as GIS, WAMS, SCADA, CIS, EA, CAD, and other specific application software
