Shift Supervisor – Dietary Services

Aventura at Oakwood Village | Springfield, Ohio

Two Openings Available: AM Shift and PM Shift

Join our healthcare team at Aventura at Oakwood Village! As a Shift Supervisor – Dietary Services, you will help ensure residents receive nutritious, quality meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Daily Operations: Monitor meal preparation and service to ensure meals are prepared and served according to facility standards.

• Support Kitchen Production: Assist with meal counts, food preparation, storage, labeling, and inventory.

• Maintain Food Safety: Ensure proper sanitation, cleaning schedules, safe food handling, and food temperature controls.

• Lead and Support Staff: Train, guide, and support team members while promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.

• Assist with Compliance: Help maintain required records, logs, and documentation to support healthcare food service standards and CMS requirements.

• Maintain Accurate Records: Use computers to update reports and complete required documentation.

• Communicate Effectively: Work closely with the Dining Manager, dietary staff, and other departments to keep daily operations running smoothly.

• Perform Additional Duties: Assist with ordering, inventory, and keeping the kitchen clean and inspection-ready.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare dining, food service, or kitchen operations preferred.

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and healthcare dining standards preferred.

• Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.

• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work well with others and support a team.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Availability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
