RN - OB / Labor and Delivery (Antepartum & Postpartum)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 36–48 Hours per Week | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
• Provide antepartum and postpartum care for maternity patients and normal newborns
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Coordinate patient care with other clinical disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
• Assume recovery responsibilities in Labor and Delivery as needed
• Assist with cesarean section deliveries, including newborn catch, as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS)
• Ability to take over a recovery in Labor and Delivery and assist with cesarean section deliveries

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous acute care facility experience
