Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license (NC or compact state eligibility required)
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
• Adaptability to new environments and electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for patients with complex health needs in a Stepdown/PCU setting
• Monitor and assess patient status, recognizing urgent or emergent conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care planning and coordination
• Administer medications, manage IV drips, and perform critical care interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery expectations
