As a Composite Fabrication Technician (Fiberglass), you’ll be part of the Operations Department, carrying out the daily procedures that bring fiberglass components to life. Your day blends hands-on craftsmanship with careful attention to detail and clear communication.
A day in this roleYou start by preparing your station and tools, then move into precision work: cutting raw materials, grinding edges, sanding surfaces, buffing to a clean finish, and assembling parts. Throughout the shift, you keep equipment in good working order and your workspace organized. If you encounter a defect, malfunction, or anything that seems off, you document it and report it promptly. Between tasks, you’ll collaborate with teammates, contribute ideas to improve processes, and handle other duties as assigned.
Core responsibilities- Cut, grind, sand, buff, and assemble fiberglass parts
- Maintain equipment and keep the workspace in good condition
- Analyze and report issues, malfunctions, or defective parts
- Support additional tasks and other duties as assigned
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs for basic tracking and communication
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Comfortable contributing within a team environment
- Adaptable in a continuous improvement setting and willing to offer ideas
- Able to work independently with limited direction
- Consistent, excellent attendance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Manufacturing experience preferred
