Architect of the Capitol
Summary Position located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief Operations, Office of Utilities and Power Plant Operations, Office of Assistant Director of Utility Distribution Services Division, Electronics Branch. Incumbent is an Electronics Mechanic in the Electronics Branch, may be assigned to either the Day or Evening Electronics Section. Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting and repairs of malfunctions; evaluate functional tests; make repairs and replace defective components; interpret and apply technical info including orders, handbooks, manuals, schematics, block diagrams, and mathematical expressions; test and repair functionally independent electronic equipment; assist senior electronics mechanics with debugging or modifying diagnostic programs by recommending changes and identifying contradictions in test specifications or test program requirements. Qualifications Must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date. Screen‑outs required for this position. Possess thorough knowledge of general smart building electronic applications, capabilities, and limitations. Trained in troubleshooting and repair of malfunctions. Skilled in interpreting technical information such as technical orders, manufacturers' handbooks, repair manuals, schematics, block diagrams, and mathematical expressions. Exceptional ability to test and repair functionally independent electronic equipment. Able to assist higher‑graded electronics mechanics in developing, debugging, or modifying diagnostic programs; recommend changes where necessary and identify and investigate apparent contradictions between test specifications or test‑requirement documents and test programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr Architect of the Capitol
