Position Overview Senior Manager, Software Engineering Full Stack – Bethesda, MD Responsibilities Work closely with product teams across multiple initiatives to design solutions as per business requirements. Foster the career growth of the team by seeking challenging, impactful work for all members based on their skills and interests. Provide technical guidance where needed. Track technical debt and advocate for its retirement. Provide support for the engineering team by removing roadblocks and ensuring the team has everything they need to deliver high quality software quickly. Provide high level estimates and designs to the product team for sprint planning. Ensure consistency in coding standards and guidelines used by all members in the team. Identify the right candidates for the team and work with recruiting partners to bring them on board. Actively work to engage and retain engineers and establish the right mix of talent and experience on the team. Engage in team member development, coaching and performance management. Proactively ask for feedback and continue to develop as a manager and leader. Responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed. Minimum Requirements Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of relevant work experience. OR Bachelor’s degree in the same fields and 7 years of relevant work experience. Experience in building high-performance solutions with Python (Django, Flask) and deploying to AWS or Google Cloud. Experience in backend and frontend development using Python, JavaScript, Objective‑C, Swift, Ruby, Kotlin, and Java. Proficient with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch). Experience designing and releasing native iOS and Android applications. Experience with Angular/AngularJS frontend applications (Angular CLI, TypeScript, Angular Material). Leadership of cross‑functional teams and management of onsite/offshore resources. Familiarity with Git, GitLab CI, Jira, and Confluence. Eligibility: At least 18 years of age, legally authorized to work in the United States. Additional Information Location: Bethesda, MD. Telecommuting is permitted; applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3–4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated. Salary range: $261,257.96 – $275,200 per year (base pay). Position is eligible for the employee referral program.
