Part-Time/On-Call - Aircraft Mechanic - MIA

Job Duties Perform line maintenance (on‑call and scheduled) work on various customers' aircraft. Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within the scope of approval) returning aircraft to service. Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; effectively perform work to meet deadlines and performance goals. Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain fully functioning equipment according to approved technical data provided by the customer. Ensure all departing aircraft are safe per FARs and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and all work performed is properly documented. Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned. Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required. Basic Qualifications 2+ years of recent line maintenance experience, emphasis on troubleshooting, daily and turn checks. Must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to frequently stand, walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity; climb, balance, bend, crawl, and occasionally work from heights in precarious places. Ability to lift, push, and carry items up to 50 pounds. Awareness of working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, loud noises. Visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information. Ability to work in extreme outdoor and indoor temperatures. Read and write English. Pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends. Preferred Qualifications Aircraft technician with B767, B747, and A320 aircraft types. Current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License. Training on EASA B1 standards is a plus. Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Customer‑facing skills, ability to work with flight crew and interact professionally.
