Tex-AC & Heating is hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems for homeowners throughout the Richardson and DFW area. Compensation: $22–$32/hour + commission Full-time Residential HVAC Service Technician position Health, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) with up to 6% company match Company Cell Phone Company Vehicle Gas Card Uniforms Paid Holidays Paid PTO Paid Vacation Long-term career growth as you gain the knowledge and experience to take on more advanced HVAC work Why You’ll Love It Here Put your residential HVAC service experience to work handling real diagnostic and repair calls Take ownership of residential service calls from troubleshooting and diagnosis through repair Work directly with homeowners and provide clear, professional recommendations Strengthen your HVAC troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, electrical, controls, and system knowledge Continue developing your technical expertise while taking on greater responsibility Build a long-term HVAC career with a team that values quality work, continuous learning, and professional development Your New Role Work as a Residential HVAC Service Technician in Richardson, TX, serving homeowners throughout the DFW area Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems Complete residential service calls professionally and accurately Explain findings and repair recommendations clearly to homeowners Perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle, tools, and work area Participate in the rotating Saturday on-call schedule At least 1 year of direct residential HVAC Service Technician experience; 2–3 years preferred Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems Experience handling residential HVAC service calls from diagnosis through repair EPA Certification required Valid driver’s license Ability to follow instructions, manufacturer documentation, and technical materials Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop HVAC technical skills Dependable and self-directed approach to learning and completing assigned work Strong communication and customer service skills Must be willing to participate in the rotating Saturday on-call schedule Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and safely work at heights Interest in building a long-term career in the HVAC trade Tex-AC & Heating is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
