Azure Data Engineer
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Configure and administer Azure data factory, databricks, synapse, sqldb, storage accounts, Eventhub
- Good implementation knowledge on Azure IAM roles, Azure AD and RBAC
- Core expertise (good knowledge) in Azure DevOps, Powershell, Python scripting
- Good troubleshooting skills and capable of supporting critical production support
- Deploy, configure and maintain Azure IaaS/PasS/SaaS services and networking services to support growth into the cloud
- Optimize Azure buildouts for cost/performance (VM optimization, reserved instances, etc.)
- Research products and new technologies to increase efficiency of business and operations
- Must have Unix and Windows background
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or experience
- 7-8 years of industry experience with minimum 2 years of Azure administration
Preferred:
- Development experience in Azure stack (ADF, Databricks, Synapse)
- Experience in relational databases like Teradata, Oracle or SQL server
- Experience in writing SQL/PL-SQL queries and procedures
- Experience in analyzing data objects as well as system objects
