Sr Developer – Data Quality

One of the key needs for this role will be hands-on experience in Informatica's Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) tool which includes data quality. Candidate should have strong finance background.

What You'll Be Doing

Excellent knowledge of data management concepts. Own design, develop and deliver Data Quality and Data Profile best practices for the enterprise and promote their adoption via data literacy campaigns. Serve as a subject matter expert on Data Quality and advocate for Enterprise Data Management standards and policies. Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies. Identify automation opportunity and work towards improving issue resolution within SLA DG tools management and new features enhancements to support data governance functions. Serve as the enterprise liaison between Business and technology to manage data quality rule definitions in a clearly defined and discoverable manner. Support and train Enterprise Data Stewards to use standard data management tools within the guidelines of governance policies and standards. Support Data Stewards in data management efforts that directly contribute towards major enterprise initiatives. Create and manage data quality metrics for each business unit. Drive alignment on data quality to enforce the enterprise business rules for master data. Collaborate with the scrum team to translate business requirements into the product roadmap, EPICs, and sprint backlog. Plan deliverables/Roadmaps and communicate regular progress status to leadership.

Qualification

10+ years of solid professional work experience in IT development/programming/coding. 5+ years of Data Quality experience in Governance projects. 3+ years of Data Governance experience. End to end development experience with Informatica Data Quality tool. Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems or Computer Science, or closely related discipline. Knowledge of information technologies, standards, and best practices prevalent in data governance, data management, data quality, and data privacy. Familiarity with data management principles and practices in Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK). Experience creating and documenting policies and procedures. Experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty. In-depth understanding of Data Management technology landscape, processes, and design principles. Ability to bridge business and technical concepts. Solid professional work experience in IT development/programming/coding.

Added Bonus If You Have Master's degree in Computer Science or MIS. Exposure to Data governance tools like Axon and EDC. Python scripting used for data movement. Experience with Snowflake database and AWS S3 systems. Experience working with data modeling team. Knowledge of Tableau and ad-hoc reporting and analytic tools.
