You start with a safety huddle, then roll into inspections that keep compact machines in peak shape. A customer’s skid steer throws a fault code—your diagnostic skills kick in. By lunch, you’ve overhauled a hydraulic component; by afternoon, you’re welding a repair and syncing with Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental to ensure the right components and timelines are locked in. That’s a typical win here.

We’re partnering with an industry-leading construction equipment dealership and rental provider to hire a seasoned Equipment Mechanic/Technician. You’ll be the trusted pro customers count on for fast, thorough service—especially across the dealership’s flagship compact equipment line.

• Complete daily inspections and execute preventive maintenance plans
• Diagnose and repair major systems on compact machines, with a focus on the dealer’s primary line
• Perform system rebuilds and full overhauls
• Handle welding and fabrication as needed
• Collaborate across Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental to deliver seamless customer support
• Take on additional assignments as directed by your Supervisor

• 3+ years in heavy equipment service (skid steers, excavators, and related compact machinery)
• Deep hands-on knowledge of diagnostics, diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Organized, self-driven, cool under pressure, with solid computer proficiency

• Brand-specific, make/model training
• Certifications such as ASE, Powerfluid Society, and OEM credentials

• Preventive maintenance program creation
• Heavy equipment repair and overhaul
• Mechanical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
• General maintenance and repair excellence
• Lift truck service
• Diesel and heavy equipment systems knowledge
• Hydraulic components and system diagnostics
• Electrical diagnostics for heavy equipment
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
