Schedule

Day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3 shifts per week).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is accountable for providing comprehensive care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in compliance with state regulations and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and effective leadership to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department. The nurse will maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education, delegate patient care tasks according to staff qualifications, and supervise the delivery of care by assigned personnel.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to provide care to Emergency Room patients.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care delivery.
• Plan for and ensure the safe delivery of healthcare services.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuous education.
• Delegate care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision of patient care personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is mandatory.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred, with additional compensation available.
• Must be willing to float to various departments.
