Responsibilities Manage project implementation with the assigned project team, following all company policies and operating procedures. Develop proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets for approval by the Principal; complete project initiation documents that include scope, budget, and schedule. Supervise and direct individuals or teams of technical staff, assisting in training and technical development through seminars and guidance. Consult with other technical staff and Project Managers on technical challenges in drinking water, providing independent technical reviews for other water discipline leaders. Oversee technical accuracy of projects through regular communication with project staff, review of plans, specifications, reports, and calculations. Track all project costs, including labor and expenses, and ensure invoices are issued to the client in a timely manner. Participate in proposal preparation, project interviews, public meetings, fee proposals, contracts, and present information to potential clients. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or related Engineering discipline with 9+ years of drinking water design experience, or Master’s degree with 8+ years of related experience. Registered Professional Engineer or other appropriate professional registration in the state(s) where Apex does work, or the ability to obtain such registration by reciprocity. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, staff, subconsultants, and contractors through leadership and strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators in relevant technical areas. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong desire to manage and mentor junior staff. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Annual expected pay range: $130,000 – $155,000 USD. Sign‑on bonus available and relocation considered.
