Consultant, Hemostasis Optimization Location: Mountain West / Northeast WI, MN, ND, SD, Western IA, Western MO, OK, NM, CO, AZ, UT, MT, WY, NV. Travel: 70% Overview This role focuses on hemostasis sales activities within the assigned territory. The Consultant coordinates with Health System Account Managers, Corporate Account Executives, Technical Service, Marketing, and corporate members to achieve annual sales goals for Sysmex's hemostasis solutions. Responsibilities Formulate and execute a detailed Territory Plan to achieve annual sales objectives, collaborating with HSAMs and Regional Sales Directors. Drive strong collaboration with the cross‑functional team, demonstrating lateral leadership to align internal stakeholders. Present the Sysmex “Lab‑of‑the‑Future” Specialty vision, emphasizing integration with specialty testing, automation, and digital solutions. Deliver Clinical, Operational, and Financial presentations to hospital management at all levels. Maintain rigorous CRM discipline, ensuring account information is up to date and opportunities move through the funnel. Utilize independent decision‑making and analytical techniques to deliver territory growth and build formal collaboration frameworks. Administer proper use of company assets and operate within company guidelines. Stay updated on market trends and competitive intelligence to adapt sales strategies. Maintain a high‑impact field presence (average 4 days per week) to advance opportunities and strengthen client relationships. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of experience in medical sales or laboratory sciences (including Armed Forces experience). A specialization in Business or Science is preferred. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, required for operating company vehicles. Seven years of proven sales experience; Medical Technologist degree is favorable. Fluency in English. Proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strategic thinking: ability to distill a customer’s long‑term vision and position Sysmex as a long‑term partner. Deep technical knowledge: ability to explain the science behind multi‑wavelength detection, automated rerun/reflex testing, and their impact on lab efficiency and patient care. Competitive displacement skills: uncover latent pain in competitive accounts and challenge the status quo. Executive presence: professional gravitas and credibility when engaging high‑level buyers. Strong interpersonal, persuasive, oral, and written communication skills. Customer‑centered focus. Demonstrated maturity, professionalism, and tact with customers and associates. Key ability to identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities. Strong sense of urgency, proactive attitude, and desire to achieve goals. Team orientation with ability to work effectively with others. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $125,000–$165,000. Compensation beyond base includes health care plans (medical, vision, dental), fleet vehicle, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave, and a 401(k) for eligible employees. Job requires meeting credentialing requirements of Sysmex’s customers, including proof of current vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and COVID‑19.
