Step into a rewarding role supporting middle school students and join a collaborative team of professionals committed to student success. This full-time contract position places you in a classroom with 10 motivated students, supported by dedicated peer mentors, two full-time paraeducators, and an expert interdisciplinary team including a BCBA, SLP, occupational and physical therapists, and a school psychologist/social worker. Your work will positively impact young lives and contribute to an encouraging and innovative learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of classroom experience required
- Active or in-progress CDE license (please note, TEE is not accepted)
- Strong team player, open to collaboration and flexible in dynamic settings
- Prior experience or specialized knowledge in special education (middle school level preferred)
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom setting where all students can thrive academically and socially
- Work closely with peer mentors, paraeducators, and interdisciplinary professionals to deliver well-rounded support
- Communicate consistently with families, colleagues, and school leadership regarding student progress and goals
- Craft engaging, differentiated instructional activities and interventions
