Dental Assistant

Job TitleDental AssistantDutiesAssist dentist in providing treatments to patients, which are complex, difficult, usually lengthy, and nonroutine in nature.Prepare patient for surgery.Receive and seat patient and conducts preliminary screening.Set up instruments, equipment, and materials such as assembling syringes and IVs for anesthesia, and mixing materials for impressions and restorations.Take preliminary impressions; pour and trim models from impressions; and construct base plates and bite rims.Observe patient throughout treatment for signs of syncope, shock, or other reactions to treatment.Relay dentist's instructions to patients for post-treatment care such as application of hot or cold packs or medications.
