Position: Housekeeping Supervisor Reports to : Housekeeping Manager Job Summary : Providing a high standard of customer service. High level of professionalism and remain open-minded at all times. They must listen to customer complaints and suggestions and provide constructive feedback to the staff. Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness. Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action. Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments. Coordinates work activities among departments. Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment. Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation. Inspect rooms thoroughly. Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage. Advises manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy. Physical Requirements: This is a working position, rather than an administrative position. Hands on tasks take up approximately 70% (subject to change to meet business needs.) Required to work weekends, nights, and holidays as necessary. Must be flexible with the work schedule based on the demands of the business levels. Stand, walk, and work for extended periods of time. Lift, carry, and push up to fifty pounds and push cart weighing up to 250 pounds. Qualifications: Experience : 2-3 years in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Leadership : Strong ability to lead, train, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment. Customer Service : Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction. Flexibility : Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays; ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Attention to Detail : Keen eye for cleanliness and ability to ensure compliance with high standards.
