Our client is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to play a key role in supporting employees, leaders, and HR operations across the organization. This position will partner closely with HR leadership and have significant responsibility for payroll, benefits administration, retirement plans, employee support, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, building relationships, solving problems, and making a direct impact on the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution
- Manage employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans
- Coordinate and support 401(k) administration, including enrollments, changes, loans, distributions, and compliance activities
- Serve as a primary resource for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
- Support onboarding, offboarding, employee records management, and HR administration
- Assist with employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Support audits, reporting, and HR documentation requirements
- Partner with HR leadership on process improvements, engagement initiatives, training programs, and performance management efforts
- Collaborate with benefit providers, retirement plan administrators, and external vendors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Strong experience with payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations
- Experience administering 401(k) and retirement plans
- Knowledge of ERISA, IRS, DOL, and employment law compliance requirements
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting, and data analysis
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
- Experience supporting multi-site operations
- Recruiting and talent acquisition experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
