Job Description
Title: Acute Care Physical Therapist

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required.
- Valid state license must be in hand at submission.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
- Key clinical skills needed include:
- Acute care assessment, evaluation, and discharge planning.
- Post-operative care for joint (hip/knee), shoulder, and spinal surgeries.
- Neurologic rehabilitation including post-stroke, TBI, SCI, Parkinson's, and MS.
- Orthopedic rehabilitation, gait training, transfers, bed mobility, and use of assistive devices.
- Development of home exercise programs and patient/family education.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 8 hours.
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.
- Only one pre-approved time-off request is allowed; it must be submitted upfront during the application process.
- Background checks are required; the facility does not accept Nursys or background hits.
- Dress code for licensed clinical staff: solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (no print tops except specified areas).
