Patient Access Rep II (Full-Time, Temporary, Days)

Compensation & Shift Compensation range: $20.26 - $27.35 per hour. Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience. Shift: Days, length 10 hours, days off variable. Hours per pay period: 80. Position Summary The Patient Access Representative II is responsible for accurately collecting and analyzing all required demographic, insurance, financial and clinical data necessary to register patients. The incumbent performs routine patient access activities to facilitate efficient operations, expeditious reimbursement, and optimal consumer satisfaction, and promotes teamwork. The role also upholds Enloe Medical Center’s mission and core values, performing duties in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements and the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct. Education / Training / Experience Competency as a Patient Access Representative I at Enloe Medical Center for six months. Patient access/registration or billing experience for two years. Hospital unit secretary experience for two years. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Excellent customer service skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Positive, professional, and effective interpersonal relations with patients, public, physicians, and staff; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Ability to communicate with patients and families during times of emotional and physical stress. Demonstrated sensitivity, compassion for hospitalized patients and families, and confidentiality of protected health information. High ethical standards and compliance with State and Federal regulatory requirements. Competence in job duties per department standards, ability to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast‑paced environment. Organize and prioritize assignments; reliability and dependability; report to work as scheduled. Work under frequent interruptions and ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
