This role is essential in ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws, developing and executing talent acquisition strategies, managing employee lifecycle operations, and cultivating a workplace culture that supports retention and growth.Key Responsibilities:HR Compliance and AdministrationEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS systemsDevelop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbookTalent Acquisition & RecruitmentLead end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.Coordinate and attend campus recruiting events and career fairsBuild and maintain relationships with universities and professional associationsEmployee Relations & RetentionActs as a resource for employee questions or concernsDevelop initiatives to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retentionHandle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance counseling.Payroll & BenefitsAdminister biweekly payroll accurately and timelyManage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and annual renewals.Serve as liaison with benefit providers and brokers.Career Development & Performance ManagementPartner with leadership to define and implement career development plans.Support the firm's performance management process, including goal-setting and reviews.Identify and track key HR metrics to monitor performance and employee programsStrategic HR PlanningAnalyze workforce trends to inform strategic decisions.Collaborate with leadership on firm culture initiatives and DEI effortsParticipate in annual budgeting related to HR programs and compensationQualificationsBachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a professional services or accounting environmentKnowledge of federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA,FLSA,etc)Experience with HRIS systems and payroll softwareStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsPHR or SHRM-CP certification (preferred but not required)
