RN Oncology

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care. Responsible for the assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care. Ensures that nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner. Provides individualized nursing care to patients. Evaluates nursing care for groups of patients. This position requires direct patient care.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for reactions or side effects.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

Unit Description: Focuses on oncology patients requiring chemotherapy and diagnosis management.
