Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Thursday – Sunday | 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Sanitation Technicians to join a leading food manufacturing facility in Kings Mountain, NC. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and manufacturing areas according to established sanitation procedures
- Disassemble and reassemble production equipment for deep cleaning when required
- Properly mix, handle, and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with company policies and safety guidelines
- Remove waste, debris, and excess materials throughout the facility
- Complete sanitation logs, cleaning records, and required documentation accurately
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and PPE requirements
- Inspect work areas to ensure production lines are clean and ready for the next shift
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Report equipment or sanitation concerns to supervisors promptly
- Perform additional sanitation and facility support duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work the overnight schedule (Thursday–Sunday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Ability to work in a wet, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
- Ability to follow sanitation procedures, safety protocols, and food manufacturing regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, manufacturing, or warehouse experience
- Experience working in a food manufacturing or food processing environment
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards
- Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and sanitation chemicals
