The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills, as well as an ability to foster positive relationships with individuals and organizations. The community relations manager will be the principal ambassador for the company, addressing internal audiences and the public to share the company’s vision and plans for achieving it.What You’ll Be Doing:Develop a strategy for building and maintaining programs and activities that will have a positive impact on the communityBuild and maintain relationships with members of the community, key individuals, and other organizationsServe as a point of contact for neighboring businesses, institutions, and communitiesBe the principal ambassador for the company, responsible for sharing its vision with the local communityOrganize community outreach programs and coordinate special events that promote products, services, and ideas of the companyDraft and distribute communications that promote the company as well as individuals and groups within itAttend relevant events and activities to represent the company and build strong relationships with key community membersRespond to inquiries from community members and other parties, and recruit knowledgeable spokespeople or information sources for assistance when neededBuild and promote cross-functional relationships within the companyPlan, coordinate, and execute public press conferences, working with third-party PR agencies when necessaryManage social media content and virtual groups to enhance the company’s online profileDemonstrate Bunge’s Core Values: Act as One Team, Drive for Excellence, and Do What’s Right.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in public relations, communications, English, journalism, or related field preferredA minimum of 2-4 years of experience in public relations or related field requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to articulate and proficiently perform tasks within Word and ExcelOutstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalismBenefits: Health Benefits – Offering choices so you can enroll in medical, dental and vision plans that meet your individual needs.401(k) Retirement Plan – Investing in your future with an automatic 5% company contribution AND matching up to 4% of your contributions.Family Support – Supporting new and growing families by providing 6 weeks of 100% paid parental leave and fertility coverage.Tuition Reimbursement – after one year of service, eligible for tuition expenses reimbursement of up to $5000 per year.
