Job Summary A-Lert Construction Services is hiring traveling Pipe Fitters to work throughout the Midwest, mainly in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. A Pipe Fitter lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and maintains piping and piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems, based on knowledge of system operation and study of building plans or working drawings. A Pipe Fitter selects pipe type and size according to specifications, inspects work sites, plans sequence of installation, cuts pipe, uses tools to thread and bend pipes, assembles fittings, joins piping by threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused or cemented joints, secures pipes to structures, installs and maintains refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, and tests systems for leaks.
