Location: Murrieta, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $55,000–$64,000 annually + Benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join a growing mental health practice in Murrieta, CA.

This is a patient-facing clinical support role working closely with psychiatric providers and other members of the clinical team. The Medical Assistant will support day-to-day patient care, assist with clinical procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and help ensure a smooth and welcoming patient experience.

The position will also provide support for patients receiving Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment. Previous TMS experience is preferred but not required, and training may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, assist with rooming, and prepare patients for appointments and treatment.
• Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, medication information, and other clinical data as directed.
• Assist psychiatric providers with patient visits and clinical procedures within the scope of the Medical Assistant role.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate patient appointments, follow-up care, and treatment schedules.
• Communicate routine clinical information and patient concerns to the appropriate provider.
• Assist with prescription refill requests, prior authorizations, and other clinical administrative tasks as directed.
• Maintain exam and treatment rooms in a clean, organized, and patient-ready condition.
• Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Follow infection-control, safety, HIPAA, and patient-confidentiality requirements.
• Provide patients with compassionate, professional support throughout their care.

TMS Support Responsibilities

• Assist with TMS treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare patients for TMS sessions and ensure proper positioning and comfort.
• Operate TMS equipment after appropriate training and under established clinical procedures.
• Monitor patients during treatment and report concerns, side effects, or changes in condition to the treating provider.
• Document treatment sessions and patient responses accurately.
• Educate patients on routine aspects of the TMS treatment process.
• Assist with treatment preparation and mapping procedures as directed by the provider.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Previous Medical Assistant or patient-facing healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, mental health, or an outpatient medical practice is highly desirable.
• Previous TMS experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients.
• Compassionate and professional when working with individuals experiencing mental health conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Comfortable learning and operating specialized medical equipment.
• Ability to recognize and appropriately communicate changes in a patient's condition.
• Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent patient schedule.
• Experience with electronic health records is preferred.

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $55,000–$64,000 annually, depending on experience
