The Cardiology Division at our organization, recognized as one of the leading pediatric cardiology programs nationwide, is actively seeking outstanding candidates for faculty roles in Acute Care Cardiology.

The Heart Institute offers a wide range of pediatric and adult congenital cardiovascular services, including but not limited to cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, cardiac intensive care, electrophysiology, advanced imaging (MRI/CT), heart failure management, transplantation, pulmonary hypertension, adult congenital care, fetal cardiology, and preventive cardiology programs.

Our services cater to pediatric and adult congenital heart patients across central and western Pennsylvania, neighboring states, and even international locations.

Our team comprises 36 pediatric cardiologists, 5 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, 8 pediatric cardiac intensivists, 3 advanced fellows, and 10 categorical fellows, supported by 30 advanced practice providers and a staff exceeding 300 members. We consistently rank highly on a national scale and hold the top position in Pennsylvania for pediatric cardiology and heart surgery, as reported by U.S. News and World Report. The Heart Institute is frequently acknowledged by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for its excellence in congenital heart surgery. Our surgical program, under the leadership of Dr. Victor Morell, has achieved the highest ratings from the STS, placing us among the premier institutions in the U.S. and Canada for patient care, surgical outcomes, and congenital heart surgery. We serve as a regional, national, and international referral center across multiple specialties, fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality care.

We are in search of a Pediatric Cardiologist with strong clinical expertise to join our committed Acute Cardiac Care team, which includes physicians and advanced practice providers. The primary focus will be on inpatient services and the development of related programs. Candidates with experience or a keen interest in cardiac rehabilitation will be given special consideration. Additional clinical responsibilities may involve outpatient cardiology clinics and/or imaging coverage, tailored to the candidate's skills and interests.

Beyond clinical duties, a passion for teaching and research is highly valued. There are opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives, as our organization is actively involved in programs like PAC3 and PC4.
