Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Home Health for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring a Maine or compact RN license and 2 years of nursing experience.

Details

• Deliver skilled nursing services to patients in their home setting under an approved plan of care
• 13-week assignment with 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM day shifts
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• Float policy of up to 25 miles between facilities as needed
• Case management responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or compact) required
• CPR certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Evaluate patients using subjective and objective findings per clinical standards and establish goal-oriented nursing plans of care
• Administer nursing interventions and counsel, teach, and supervise patients and families in self-care techniques
• Observe, evaluate, and report on patient status to the attending physician as needed
• Coordinate care with other professional services involved in the patient's treatment
• Participate in team communication, case conferences, and team meetings
• Establish clear discharge plans and coordinate with the home care team
• Apply and communicate skilled care and homebound requirements under Medicare Home Health Benefit or other payer guidelines
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage prohibited while on duty
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract
