Full Charge Bookkeeper for Harry's Hospitality GroupWork Location: Harry's Savoy Grill & BallroomSchedule: Approximately 25 hours/week, Monday - Friday, weekend hours as neededEmployment Status: Part-time hourly, Non-ExemptPay: $25.00 - $30.00 / hour, depending on experiencePosition SummaryThe Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for the day-to-day financial records of our restaurants. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial transactions, monitoring expenses, reconciling accounts, and supporting payroll and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have strong accounting skills, experience with bookkeeping software, and an understanding of restaurant operations.ResponsibilitiesFull cycle Accounts ReceivableFull cycle Accounts PayableTrack inventor-related financial transactions and food cost reportsMonitor cash flow and report discrepancies to the Director of OperationsMaintain organized digital and physical financial recordsPrepare bank account reconciliationsReconcile and maintain balance sheet accountsProcess bi-weekly payrollMonthly closings and preparation of financial statementsPreparation of monthly financial statements for all locations (Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet)Monthly reconciliation of multi-store gift cardsMonthly tracking and reconciliation of deposits paid in advanceMonthly entry and reconciliation of numerous inter-company transactionsAssist company CPA with year-end closing and reviewPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsAt least 4 years of continuous experience as a BookkeeperProficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks and Excel required, MarginEdge preferred)Familiarity with POS systems and daily sales reconciliationRestaurant Bookkeeper experience preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time-management skillsKnowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reportingAbility to handle confidential financial informationAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required)Work Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer, with intermittent standing and walkingAbility to use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, telephones, printers, scanners, and copiersAbility to see, hear, and speak sufficiently to communicate with coworkers, vendors, and guests, and to perform computer-based workAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15–25 pounds occasionally, such as office supplies, files, or packagesAbility to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, or twist occasionally to access files, supplies, or office equipmentAbility to work in a typical office environment, with exposure to standard office noise levels and lightingAbility to perform repetitive motions, including typing and data entry, for extended periodsAbility to move about the office to attend meetings, greet visitors, and retrieve materialsJoin our HHG Award-Winning Team!
