Position Summary We are seeking a Turbine Engineer with hands-on experience in turbine packaging and balance of plant (BOP) systems within the natural gas power generation sector. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering background and prior exposure to turbine or reciprocating engine projects, with commissioning experience considered a strong plus. This role involves supporting engineering, design, and integration activities to ensure reliable and efficient turbine system performance. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the packaging of turbines and balance of plant systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations. Provide technical expertise during the design, fabrication, and installation phases of turbine and power generation equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, commissioning engineers, and operations staff to deliver fully integrated solutions. Develop technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and procedures related to turbine packaging and auxiliary systems. Support commissioning and startup activities, including troubleshooting, performance validation, and system optimization. Conduct technical evaluations of turbine and reciprocating engine systems, assessing risks and recommending design or process improvements. Serve as a subject matter expert for turbine systems in natural gas power generation applications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred). 5+ years of engineering experience with turbine systems, balance of plant, or reciprocating engines in power generation or energy projects. Demonstrated experience in turbine packaging, system integration, and project delivery. Commissioning/startup experience strongly preferred. Strong technical knowledge of natural gas turbine operations, auxiliary equipment, and related standards. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience Rotational engineering background with exposure to multiple engineering disciplines. Reciprocating engine experience with demonstrated expertise in packaging and integration.
