Cardiac/Cardiovascular Registry Data Abstractor for NCDR and STS Registries/ LPN / RN

Overview Cardiac/Cardiovascular Registry Data Abstractor for NCDR and STS Registries Full‑time, permanent position (40 hours). Standard working hours: 8am‑5pm EST, Monday‑Friday. The position will be in‑person at Sentara Park 1300 during onboarding, with a potential transition to remote within Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk and surrounding areas. Responsibilities Perform clinical auditing and data abstraction of patient records to support Sentara hospitals’ clinical improvement, patient safety initiatives, regulatory requirements, and CMS national initiatives. Review audit results and identified trends with Clinical Nurse Specialists, unit‑assigned clinical staff, Performance Improvement staff, and physician quality task forces. Qualifications Education: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or RN with a 3‑year diploma (non‑degree) or higher. Licensure: Must be licensed as an LPN or RN. Experience: Required knowledge of anatomy and disease processes; minimum 2 years of nursing experience; cardiovascular experience preferred.
