About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the business, with a focus on commercial work, consumer brand counseling, and a strong understanding of FDA/FTC regulations. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, advising on advertising claims and regulatory requirements, and managing a range of legal matters to protect the brands. The role demands a hands-on approach, the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to ensuring compliance across all legal aspects of the business. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should be licensed and in good standing in Florida, or licensed in another U.S. state with eligibility for Florida Authorized House Counsel certification. A minimum of 3 years' in-house legal experience and 3 to 5 years' of law firm experience is required, with a strong background in commercial and contracts law. Preferred qualifications include experience in dietary supplement and food/beverage regulatory matters, FTC advertising compliance, trademark law, and privacy and data security law. The role offers the opportunity to work across two affiliated companies, balancing priorities and managing outside counsel relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proactive and strategic approach to legal issues, with the ability to make an immediate impact in a high-ownership legal department.
